Why must I be the one to hide?
Me alone be the one to hold inside,
all that I feel, all that I see.
Anything that has deep meaning for me.
Who decided that you were the one?
You who thinks this game is fun,
one that inflicts so much pain.
And is played over and over again.
How can your feelings be so easily expressed,
One’s I wish I could set to rest.
For you the world is at your feet,
Its labor less fruits you do reap.
Why are you allowed to say for whom you care?
You can say the moments you share,
Together alone, held by the dark.
How it pains me to this journey embarked.
I had once hoped it would be me and you.
I’d be the one to guide you though.
I’d be the one to cradle your head.
You’d be the one to share my bed.
They should kill me for wanting you,
Kill me for thinking the truth.
Load the gun, spike the cup,
God take my life, rip it up.
But I cant think that anymore.
Though I know I’m sure,
you’re the one I desire.
For a life with you, I can never tire.
But I now that this is forbidden,
thoughts about you must be hidden.
But every time he holds you close,
Im reminded of who I want most.
He dangles you in my face,
And I’d give anything to take his place.
Anything to hold you one last time;
Anything to make you once more mine.
