Even I wanted to, I couldn't add more lurid sex to the story to appeal to other readers because it's already written to completion and I can't change it now. As to Lisa, well, it's only chapter 5. ;) And as to Aliona's age, an amazing and well published writer once told me at a workshop several years ago that the 'magic formula' to crafting proper suspense is far simpler than many authors would have you believe; Make them care...then make them wait. |

It's not to be a tease (though that keeps people champing at the bit apparently, which is a good thing), it's because I spend the majority of my time working on the current story I'm writing. I can make these contain about 20 or so pages of text as opposed to the usual 18, but that's the best I can do for you. Otherwise my current project will suffer and you'll all be sad when it's delayed later. ;) That first link does work, I just tried it again. It's a monster too and is exactly what you would have heard i the club the night before this chapter takes place, so try it again; perhaps you copied a few too few characters? I don't know. Thanks again everyone. I'm rather flattered. I should print this string of comments and send it to the people that sent me rejection letters. Just kidding; everyone who writes gets those and it doesn't hurt anymore after the first twelve or so. LOL. |

2011-07-24 01:02:17 | Muse (5) | @TT: I'll field that by saying this; she's obviously young enough that people give Mark and her weird looks and though no one says anything there is something odd about the whole thing to everyone except them. On the other side of the coin, she's old enough to not draw *too* much suspicion in a nightclub. She is very very small physically. That's clear. When I originally wrote Muse I actually didn't even stop to consider her actual age even once until I was finished. The ambiguity allows her to represent more than just one thing; she is far more than just a cipher for perfection or innocence. The reason I add the "Young" tag to the chapters is because she is far and away younger than Mark. Make of that what you will; by leaving it blank everyone who reads it wins. Have no fear, neither you nor the people who like them really young will be disappointed as the story continues. :) |
