3 months late, but...when you're omnipotent, you can do such things. Matt and Sophie created the genies, and gave them infinite power except for the rules which they made themselves exempt from, meaning that when Matt and Sophie made wishes they were using infinite power. They are therefore able to wish for infinite power, because someone with infinite power (Alexis and Lumiosa under Matt and Sophie's instruction) can give someone else (Matt and Sophie) infinite power. Matt and Sophie are therefore able to use this power to go back and create the universe and the lamps. So it does work. It's one big temporal cycle of people giving people power so they can give back that power at another point. It does work. |
