I explain this way – you are now not swamping your stories with anonymous comments – my previous post noted that you had 55 attributed comments (now 59), That figure is displayed by the XNXX system, it’s not my count. I am not saying you are a bad author, in fact you deserve many of the comments you receive, I was pointing out an inconsistency in the number of anonymous comments that left you open to criticism, so I criticised, that’s what I do. I also don’t see any comments backing up your side of the argument, I would have expected a few people telling me where to go, given that most of your stories are so popular. |
| 2006-04-27 17:28:02 | Photo-shoot of a Lifetime | well, here is someone on "reader's" side. i suspected the same thing you did, that the author was self-rating/promoting with bogus comments. Once you brought up the subject, there was a huge drop in comments - in ALL of his stories. this is not coincidence. I also agree that it says something about the personality of the author. It's egotistical and self-serving. Something I don't quite understand is this: Why post a story for the public to read if you aren't able to take the good comments with the bad? That's the idea of this whole comments section, isn't it? A chance for people to voice opinions. I understand it's not always pleasant hearing someone critique your written work, but, you open yourself up for it by posting on a public site. |

The 59 number you quote is the number of comments I have posted on other stories or replies to my stories while logged in as wickedsin. That number does not indicate the total number of "attributed" comments attributed to my stories. Furthermore, if you are using the previous number of 55, and 59 as of your last e-mail as some evidence to prove I have decreased the frequency of "anonymous" posts to my own stories, that is faulty logic. if I post anonymously ( i.e. not logged in), they would not be counted in the total of my profile comments.....now 63 or 64 since I replied to you and commented on a few good stories earlier today. You honestly have no idea what you're talking about and as for joking about admissions of guilt...sorry, it's a lawyer thing! |

There's nothing I will ever say to convince you I did not post anonymous comments myself nor do I (or did I) rate my own stories. So, we're gonna have to agree to disagree but I assure you every rating and every comment, good or bad, was made by someone else. The decrease in the number of comments recently is the same thing that happens to newly released movies...the first few weekends, attendance is high...the longer the movie has been out, the fewer the number of people who view the movie. Your hypothesis is flawed in that you assume I actually care that my stories are top-rated. I don't. I had no idea how they'd be received. The ratings are flawed on this site since there are vindictive people who continually rate stories low for the hell of it. |
