In the English language the word 'Cain' refers to Abel's biblical brother (Adam and Eve's first born son). The word you are groping for is 'cane'. Of course English girls in the era in which this story is set were caned. This is MY era and many of my schooldays girlfriends were caned, mostly on the hand but very often on the bottom and quite often in front of the entire class. Do not presume to lecture me about upper class secondary education in English schools in the fifties. I was there. My stories are written with first hand experience or that related to me by my wife, other female relatives or girlfriends present and past of my own generation! |

I have decided to to take a break from writing for this site because for every serious critical commentator I get (like you) I appear to be attracting half a dozen illiterate halfwits. I am getting bored with reading the sort of drivel written by these tosspots who are incaple of writing anything themselves. What advice can I give you? To be a writer you must have imagination. What do you fantasise about? Imagine you are starring in one of your fantasies and write about that or base your writings on subjects where you some degree of personal experience. Make your dialogue realistic. Pretend you are telling somebody what happened. Make sure your spelling and grammar are OK. Sometimes I enjoy the challenge of writing as a woman! Try it! WRITE |
