From the writer's bio page: "The word "nossa" will crop up from time to time in my stories. They are written for a friend of mine who the main character is (VERY) loosely based on. She lived in Brazil for a number of years, and the word is a Brazilian expletive she likes to use...a lot. According to her it's short for "nossa senhora", which is used kind of on the level of "oh my god"." |
