The word "nossa" crops up from time to time in my stories. The stories are written for a friend of mine who the main character is (VERY) loosely based on. She lived in Brazil for a number of years, and the word is a Brazilian expletive she likes to use...a lot. According to her it's short for "nossa senhora", which is used kind of on the level of "oh my god". |

It's nice that you write it for a friend, but you posted it in public, so might I suggest that you add a sentence after its first use in each story along the lines of Jack smiling at her use of the expletive in Portuguese? It would save you from throwing a tantrum when people ask a perfectly reasonable question, and it would save us from thinking you're a jerk. |

But I have to ask, just how the hell are we supposed to know to click on your screne name to find out what nossa means. You could have posted it in your comments at the beginning of the story and there would not have been the question. |
