From the writer's bio page: "the word "nossa" will crop up from time to time in my stories. they are written for a friend of mine who the main character is (very) loosely based on. she lived in brazil for a number of years, and the word is a brazilian expletive she likes to use...a lot. according to her it's short for "nossa senhora", which is used kind of on the level of "oh my god"." |
