I think it's a great story. When stationed in Korea, whenever I went to Japan, I could call the same prostitute and she would stay with me during the time of my leave. She wasn't even pretty but she spoke good English and we had wonderful times together. Therefore, I can appreciate your story. Of course, the ages are very different. I'll tell you this much, Peter pecker. If you're a 50-year-old American, you would never, never, never describe yourself as a 50-year-old 'yank." Americans simply don't do that, particularly those from the North where the term Yankee could be applied, and in the south it would be an insult, due to the civil war back in the mid 1800s. Either way, even a northerner would never say "i'm a yank." He might say "I'm a yankee," but never a yank. Only Brits and aussies and kiwis would use "yank." okay, i've had my say. |

That comment about Americans referring to themselves as "Yanks" is correct. We don't do that. That is sooooo British to say "yank." In the U.s., we yank on our tallywhacker, but we're not yanks. On rare occasions we refer to people from new England and other northern states as Yankees, but never "yanks." |
