| 2007-04-28 20:38:22 | Mixed Metaphors xiv | The wheels were up 6am Tuesday. Flew just south of Nova Scotia, south of Iceland over Ireland. Across the English Channel, Belgume, Germany, south along the west coast of Italy. Tony asked Miss. Omagato if they were running late. She told him that they were a little late due to headwinds on most of the trip. She said that she was sorry and apologized for the airline. He said it was no problem. I made this same trip in September of 2003. It was scheduled almost nine hours to the minute, at five hundred miles per hour, however took ten hours due to head winds. Check your calculator and it will give you about nine hours to naples also. Can be tough to calculate without instruments. OG |
| 2007-04-29 18:02:01 | Mixed Metaphors xiv | Yes, normally a nine-hour flight, but delayed by headwinds, making it a ten-hour flight (they touched down at 1600 New York time), either way, it would still be Tuesday (2200 Naples time), not Wednesday and certainly not Wednesday afternoon. |
