2007-03-11 14:53:12 | Mixed Metaphors XI | Well, I didn't think the Old Guy would agree with my comment regarding thelack of sex, but please don't challenge my knowledge of the English/American written word. I've earned my keep for 35 years as a newspaper reporter and magazine writer, so all I can say is, "Cool off a little." I don't mind your writing. |
2007-03-11 18:35:59 | Mixed Metaphors XI | By the way, have you noticed that this story is in the "Less read" section of the site? |
2007-03-12 21:29:32 | Mixed Metaphors XI | To whom ever that wrote, “By the way, have you noticed that this story is in the "less read" section of the site?” Of course it is in the "less read" section. It is a well thought out story that can be understood by only a few of the population who want to read a REAL story. Most of the people on this site can’t get passed the title of “Mixed Metaphors”, probably due to its esoteric nature. Face it, many, (not all) of the people who look for stories on xnxx are looking for the most sexual subject that can titillate them and “get them hot!” The majority of the readers want stories, which they can read with one hand. Remember diamonds come in small boxes, while large “stuffed shirts … don’t.” og |
2007-03-12 22:21:09 | Mixed Metaphors XI | In any case I would like to see some of the work you have completed over the past thirty-five years, so why don’t you send me an example … unless … there … isn’t one. Actually I am cool, except when people make comments about things, which they know little about. Actually, I could care less if you or anyone else doesn’t mind my writing, as I know there are just a few people out there who enjoy it. (cont) |
2007-03-12 22:22:45 | Mixed Metaphors XI | Dear 3-11-07 13:53: As I stated before, chapter 11, was about a children’s party, so I felt it necessary to not include sex in the chapter. Why wouldn’t I agree? I was the one who left it out. If you know anything about fictional writing, I’m sure you have heard of a “plot point”. The dictionary, and books I studied in college state; a plot point is a significant or overt action or moment within a plot that creates obstacles. While the party was not an obstacle, I felt it was an incident that might show a part of Tony’s personality. (cont) |
